A. Derya Bakiler

Derya completed her undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering in Bilkent University, at 2018. She is currently pursuing an M. Sc. degree at the same institution, and will graduate in Spring 2022. Her research is focused mainly on developing and utilizing theoretical and numerical frameworks to understand the material and instability behavior of soft matter, via approaches based in large deformation continuum mechanics and FEM. Outside of the lab, Derya is a classically trained pianist, and she enjoys making music and spending time with cats.
